One day this site will will tell the whole story of our airport, from its opening
in 1930 to its official closing in 1996 and beyond - but we're still working on it!
We also hope to provide a point of contact for the many people who at one time or another considered themselves "Friends of Ipswich Airport" - whether they were pilots, parachutists, passengers, employees or users of the airport's facilities such as the public viewing area or the bar. The Ipswich Aiprort Association is please to announce that it will be holding another Ipswich Airport Reunion and Exhibition at the Ipswich Transport Museum on Saturday 11 October 2008 from 1 to 4 pm |
